The Cathedral Se is the start of the Camino Portugese
The first yellow arrow!
Porto, a phantastic city
...on the way...
wherever there is a street, there is a wall
Fuentes, many of them
historic bridges, many of them
plenty of "food" on the way
The first view of Barcelos
my noble appartment in the hostel "dos Assentos" or € 30

Typical country lane in Portugal
Ponte de Lima crossing the river Lima
the bridge

entering the Fortaleza in Valenca (Portugal)
the old bridge crossing the Rio Minho on my way to Tui (Spain)
Valenca seen from Tui
a spanish "Mini Market" - principle: what is where?
paperwork!
Ponte Nova in Arcade - in the morning
arrival in Santiago
the Botafumeiro in action
not many Peregrinos walk the Camino Portugese. In total I met not more than around 20 which is not bad for the mind! However, these six celebrated the success of the Camino and good bye at the same time!
then I picked up Christina, to show her some stops of the Camino starting at Finisterre,
the Cathedral,
including its roof, which offered a great view of Santiago.

The Camino Portugese, not as serious and demanding as the Camino Frances, but a good practice for the Via de la Plate in 2009!
